Two-Step Vibration Control
This rotary hammer provides vibration control without compromising performance. It reduces vibrations via a two-step process, originating from the impact mechanism and progressing to the handle, which features rubber dampening elements on the top and bottom.
Excellent Power-to-Weight Ratio
Powered by an 8-amp motor, the hammer weighs 7.9 pounds and offers an impressive 2.6 ft./lbs. of impact energy.
Three Modes of Operation
The hammer offers three modes of operation. Make use of the multifunction selector to select rotary hammer, hammer only, or rotation only mode. An integral clutch helps minimize torque reaction, along with a 360-degree auxiliary handle further enhances project flexibility.
Variable Speed Trigger and Quick Changes for Control
For better control and accurate bit starting, the hammer has a variable speed three-finger trigger (0-4,000 bpm; 0-900 rpm). To save time, a quick-change system provides fast change-outs between an SDS-plus chuck and optional 3-jaw chuck (not included) for use with a wide range of accessories.

Bosch RH328VCQ 1-1/8-Inch SDS Rotary Hammer Kit Reviews:
Fantastic - Works as Promised
By Tim Mahoney
I'd shopped for months looking for a reliable, heavy duty but not too expensive rotary hammer. Regardless of the somewhat confusing product descriptions, this unit also offers a hammer only mode. In order to save a bit of money, I opted for a "used" model. Well, the system arrived quickly and was well packaged. After i opened the container, it looked like it had never been touched. I'd purchased this unit to drill about 40 1" holes about 6" deep into a concrete grade beam and was shocked at how well this thing worked. The vibration absorbing feature of the handle worked really well so if you're carrying out a lot of hammer drilling it is a great feature and keeps your hands and wrists from rattling from your arms. The really great surprise was the hammer only mode and just how well that worked. When I purchased the unit, it wasn't clear whether it were built with a hammer only mode but I could cleanup a bunch of mortar and other cementious product off a footing and nearby grade beam in minutes that would took a couple of days with a hammer and hand chisel. Overall, I'd provide the Bosch RH328VQC an excellent rating. It's been used by myself and loaned to many friends and the thing is flawless and may take a beating.
Great Drill
By Andrew Motilal
This drill is one of the best things I bought online. I had a Makita HP2010 hammer drill and drilling into masonary bricks took ages as well as the enormous amount of pressure I had to apply. With my new Bosch rotary hammer drill I recieve the job completed in one tenth the time and with no aching wrists after your day. This drill is also unbelievely light making drilling while sitting on a ladder unbelievably easy.
SDS PLUS only
By Rick
First allow me to say, I'm a fan of Bosch tools. This is a great SDS Plus rotary hammer, but it's not as advertised. Bosch shows it online with a youtube video from the quick change chucks. The manual that arrived using the unit shows the optional 3 jaw chuck. Which of course requires removing the SDS chuck. This was the biggest reason I bought this unit, the versatility of changing chucks from SDS to 3 jaw chuck for straight bits. Bosch personnel only recommend 1618571014 which requires using the SDS chuck. this adds an additional 2.5 inches towards the length. Basically could get the not compulsory 3 jaw chuck as shown on the video and manual, I'd rate this drill 5 stars. I have been trying for 30 days, and to date happen to be recommended the 1618571014 chuck. Which makes it appear that Bosch is falsely promoting this tool.
UPDATE; Its been 2 months since I contacted Bosch concerning the 3 jaw chuck here is the response from Bosch.
Appreciate writing and for your purchase of our new RH432VCQ hammer. Unfortunately the 3 jawed chuck is not available yet and I do not show to start dating ? on if this is going to be. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
False Accessory Claims
By Amazon Fan
I received it and immediately learned that there was two issues:
1. Military services weapons depth Gauge
2. No here is how to get the not compulsory 3-jaw chuck - Quote from Product Description on Amazon:
"To save your time, a quick-change system provides fast change-outs between an SDS-plus chuck and optional 3-jaw chuck (not included) for use having a wide range of accessories. "
I called Bosch about both issues, on my small first call I had been disconnected during an attempted transfer. I called back and was successfully transferred and offered a depth Gauge which I had to turn down until they might answer the supply question about the optional 3-jaw chuck. I had been transferred once again, only to find out that I needed to be used in the tech department at a different number plus they open at 9am central time. After 9am I known as the new telephone number and dialed the option that I had been given and was transferred again, after which the Bosch representative kept questioning if the tool I purchased from Amazon was reconditioned. I assured them it was new. Then they next said since its under Thirty days which i need to take this track of the seller. I informed them there own instructions that included the tool implores the client not to contact the seller but rather contact Bosch with every issues, which rediscovering the reassurance of the vendor wouldn't address the not compulsory 3-jaw chuck question. Finally I had been transferred to a technician that was in a position to address my question concerning the accessibility to the not compulsory 3-jaw chuck. He said that there is NO optional quick-change 3-jaw chuck especially for the Bosch RH328VCQ, but that Bosch does make the Bosch 1618571014 SDS-plus Shank 3 Jaw Chuck that matches any Bosch SDS-plus tool regardless of model for approximately $50.00. Gurus the technician why would I or any customer wish to pay the extra $80.00 when the only difference between the Bosch RH328VCQ and the Bosch RH328VC is the quick-change chuck system, if Bosch doesn't create a quick-change 3-jaw chuck? He acknowledged that consideration and noticed that there's still value within the quick-change system because SDS chucks need replacing and for $58.00 dollars you can preserve a spare SDS chuck around and alter out a worn SDS chuck in seconds without any down time about the Bosch RH328VCQ. While about the Bosch RH328VC you'd need to send it in for repair.
My conclusion is the fact that while Bosch may make some fine tools they really messed up here and also the customer service experience would be a big disappointment too. I found the Milwaukee 5359-21 1-1/8-Inch SDS Drive L-Shape Rotary Hammer on Amazon for $298.99 and called Milwaukee customer service to ask about a 3 Jaw/SDS Chuck and in which the drill is made (Germany same as Bosch) and after one transfer found immediate answers. FYI - The Milwaukee 48-66-1370 SDS/Chuck Adapter Kit sells for $111.10 on Amazon in contrast to the Bosch 1618571014 SDS-plus Shank 3 Jaw Chuck also on Amazon but for only $41.61 . Once i post this review I'm going to return the Bosch RH328VCQ and order the Milwaukee 5359-21 1-1/8-Inch Rotary Hammer and the Eazypower 30205 1/2-Inch SDS Drill Chuck Adapter 20-UNF Thread to be used with a spare keyless 3 Jaw Chuck which i already have.
